A Tamil family in Albi

Jean Viguier age 96 works with a group to support migrants in the diocese of Albi. The family in the picture have been here nearly five years, the children at school for three, and they still have no papers. The father was a Catholic Tamil who left Sri Lanka in opposition to the Tamil separatists and fears for his life if he returns. Jean, the old man is fighting their case and bless him says he will go on hunger strike if they do not get accepted soon.
We wish the family well but it does show that taking out "asile"/ asylum is not an easy thing to achieve.
