If I remember rightly from what my husband said,when he spoke to some of our elderly neighbours,there were 2 Panzer divisions & they were both billeted at the chateau in St. Pierre Livron.The 1st.division left a day before the others & came to Oridour sur Seine where they were attacked & killed by the Resistance. The next day the 2nd.lot went up, came to Oridour sur Glame, thought it was the same Oridour, slaughtered all the village but for one child,who managed to escape.
