This is the choice of Jill Spearman who watched it at the cinema, thought it so good she went and bought it, apparently has you on the edge of your seat, very gripping.

Sally Bradshaw says
I like the idea of watching truly great French films.....they usually have
subtitles and they were miles ahead of the rest in the earlier 20th century.
I am thinking of Pagnol's sequence of films Marius, Fanny and César, Les
Enfants du Paradis, all the noir cop films, Quai des Brumes, to say nothing
of all the Truffaut and Godard films more recently and Jean de Florette etc.
These films had a wonderful light touch, were packed with atmosphere, often
hilarious, and they celebrate this country...

What do you think?
Val says
I think yes, and we will perhaps have a couple in Dec and another couple in January. I will research buying some, unless anybody can offer any.

At this first showing we can perhaps discuss what we would all like to see. I have ordered  ''The Great Gatsby'' with Mia farrow and Robert Redford and would add that in to the programme if anyone else wanted to see it, a better film than the recent ''Gatsby'' [ in my opinion]
