"Record historique" 14% for fruits and 17% for vegetables higher than usual in markets and shops in France. Each summer there is a small rise but this year prices have shot up. The many violent storms have affected fruit and vegetable growing in many regions pushing up prices .Also in the south of France thieves have been targeting fruit and vegetables farms going in the night with lorries and stealing the produce direct from the trees.
