A lovely place to walk around with the dogs before the Lake was drained for repair now a year later water levels are still low after a lot of rain. What is going on?

The lake was drained again about 3 months ago as it had a leak after repair. They still don't appear to have done much - the drain is still partially open - it is only half full of water because we had so much rain it was filling faster than it was draining.
There have been some people there this week looking at it and taking measurements so hopefully they will fix it soon and close the drain.
