LIFE IN WORDS
We have been so pleased with the support received from the purchasers of the Anthology put together by the Creative Writing Group in memory of our mentor, Doreen Porter, that we have been able to send well in excess of €700 to one of her favourite charities Room to Read UK.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed towards this very successful figure and hope that you have found plenty to enjoy in the book. We must particularly thank her husband, Gavin too for his help and generosity and we hope that Doreen would have been proud of us.
This has been our first venture into self-publishing and it has been a steep learning curve but after much effort we are thrilled with the result. We intend to continue our writing, this time on line with informal get-togethers to comment on what has been written. It is open to all and, whether or not you have read the Anthology, if you feel inspired to put pen to paper, we would be pleased to hear from you.
