New camping car site at Laguepie

The local council has invested thousands of euros to transform the camping area at the Base Nautique, on the bank of the Aveyron at Laguepie. The old campsite has been up-graded with hard standing, electricity points, a chemical toilet emptying point, refurbished toilet and shower block, lighting and re-planting of trees. Called the Escale Guepienne the facility replaces the road side point on the other side of the river.
One downside - it floods when the river overflows, as this week, or after heavy rain. Bonny investigated the submerged parking area today.
