Our friends have arrived and as it will be announced in the Depeche I can also now tell you about their arrival.
Seventeen men not from Eritrea as we thought but from Afghanistan, Sudan and Parkistan.
They arrived last night at 2am, the group all want to commence with papers and there are French ready to help with this.
This is now an urgent message for mens clothes and shoes.
They have arrived in a very poor state, feet hanging out of shoes, where the backs have worn down or being taken out to use part.
I am going at lunch time with some jackets and jumpers and just a few shoes but nowhere near enough.
They also asked for " flip flops" and if I explain that many have foot problems including verrucas, you can see why in the showers they want to wear flip flops.
I will be more precise with sizes after my time this afternoon but Laura who is there this morning tells me most are size 40 with 3 about 44( same size as Malc)
Please, please search your cupboards for a pair of shoes you can do with out, or some trousers.
