Interestingly there is also a meeting in the salle des fetes of ancient combatants of the Algerian war 1952 to 1962. They have an association with the initials FNACA.
There cannot be that many of them left now.

Quite interesting the site with a lovely old photo of the men. I at first thought these would be Algerian fighters but Malc tells me they are the French fighters who fought in Algeria.
Val says later the hall was packed with 80 year old men. They must still have pride that they fought for France.
I went and did a bit of shopping then sat having an allongé daydreaming in the sun (well wrapped up)
