English apple pie, Malc's favourite food

Hi Val

English apple pie, apple sauce and baked apples are here again....

I thought that your readers would be interested to know they can make traditional English apple pie again and roast pork dinners will no longer seem as if something’s missing. Along with Marmite, Mulligatawny soup and McVitie’s Chocolate Digestives (now sold in Lidl),  Bramley apples is one of the UK foods I miss, but Yesterday I bought a  bag full of lovely, very good quality, Bramley apples from Jangopom in Ste Cécile d’Avès, just outside Gaillac. The plantation was started more than 20 years ago by a Dutch Couple, Adriaan et Irène Jansen and they sell a wide variety of apples, which you can pick yourself, as well as juice, quinces, chestnuts and patés from their own herd of deer.  In May, they also sell peonies.
