We have just come back from our meeting with Winnie and Jean Marie Nosal, what a great pleasure it is to be in their company and listen to their enthusiasm for saving the lives of children and helping others that need a hand.
Whilst I tell you this bit of news Malc is going to write all the news about the "120 Femmes" for me.
Can you remember the lovely pictures I had with some of the boys who were being looked after by the couple and they came here for tea in the summer. Well that group being 18 now have moved on with their lives, have found jobs or are at College and now eight more needy youngsters have arrived.
Winnie was telling me there are 8 children, 4 boys of around the age of 14. Two are from Guinea, one from Bangladesh, one from another part of Africa. In the world they have no one of their own, parents, family, friends and they have nothing but the terrible stories of their little lives so far. Can you imagine a child like that and it gets worse. They do not speak French but speak their native languages. They must learn French within the next few months so they can go to school. If they do not go to school they cannot stay in France and Winnie despairs of what would happen to them then.
This is where you come in - are you a French speaker? it does not matter if you are French, English or Dutch if you could teach these 14 year old boys the French language within the next few months.
If you have a few hours a week to share to teach a child, Winnie would be eternally grateful. She is hoping there will be enough takers that the boys could have one to one tuition.
This is not a paid job, but the pleasure you would get would be enormous and it costs you absolutely nothing but your time.
Please if you think you could help contact Winnie on nosalw@wanadoo.fr
