Cat bites and scratches readily go septic!

Hi Malcolm
Sorry to read about your experience with the cat. I just wanted to warn you that cat bites & scratches readily go septic because cats carry nasty bugs on their teeth which get "injected" into the bite wound. So if the wounds get more painful & redder i.e. an increase in inflammation, you will need a course of antibiotics. It has happened to me many times!
Wishing you a speedy recovery
Peter
