FET's
next show, Mrs
Roosevelt Flies to London on Saturday 3rd June at 8pm explores the public and hidden life of one
of the most extraordinary women of the 20th century, Eleanor Roosevelt.
As her life draws to a close, and the Cuban Missile Crisis
pushes the world to the brink of catastrophe, she looks back to October 1942
and her visit (with husband Franklin D) to wartime London and her meetings with
ordinary British women and an array of VIPs from the Queen Mother to Winston
Churchill.
Written and performed by
Alison
Skilbeck
(nominated for Best Female Performance at the Offie Awards), the show is a
powerful and at times hilarious portrayal of a woman beset by personal
insecurities and tragedy who never lost her passionate belief in the strength
of the human spirit.
The bar will open at the later
time of 7pm and the performance will start at 8pm.
