Carole Delga, the president of the new regional council of Occitanie was provoked by an FN member of the council who tried to ally the Socialist Party to the Petain collaborationist government in 1940 into trying to wrest the microphone from him. An unwise move probably, but it provoked the following comment on an internet blog which reported the incident
« Honte à Carole Delga qui ose enlever le micro d’un élu Front National. Cette info circule sur tous les médias. Bande de pourris de gauchiasses. Vous êtes la honte de la France et un jour on massacrera tous les socialos de merde. En espérant que la famille Delga se fasse égorger prochainement dans un attentat. »
A rough translation of this would be
“Shame on Carole Delga who tried to take the microphone from an elected FN member. This information is in all the media. Bunch of putrid lefties. You bring shame on France and one day we will massacre all the shitty comrades. Here’s hoping the Delga family will soon have their throats cut in an attack”.
Mme Delga has asked the police to investigate.
The FN leaders have naturally condemned this – but any reading of far right sites (not recommended) shows that their loony supporters are still there. A leopard may change its spots, but its offspring are often just the same.
