A damp squib?

Our evening last night was held amid dire warnings of three months rain in an hour, damaging winds and even hail as the threatened storms passed by.
As Taglines reported yesterday the really bad weather was forecast for departments further west than ours and that is how it transpired. Heavy rain, spectacular lightning and hail hit the southwest, from the Pays Basque to Poitou Charente, and today over 50000 homes are without electricity.
Luckily for us the winds died away and the overnight rain was light. Today looks like rain, showers and more rain and breathable temperatures. Local weather is always available via the France Meteo link at the side.
