The most popular breed is the German Shepherd (berger allemand), followed by the Belgian Shepherd and Golden Retriever. In fact the first smaller dog, the King Charles spaniel, is down at number eight. Locally one thinks that hunting dogs must be the most common and what about the humble "Heinz"? Whatever breed, dogs are a wonderful companion and ours are ready for their morning walk....
