Laura ended up taking 4 lads to the Doctors for emergency prescriptions and Sarah ended up going to the chemist to pick up the prescriptions. Chrissie Hargreaves has been labelled washer woman supreme and was in constant demand showing how the washing machines and clothes dryers worked.
Some of the boys speak English and translate to the others but with Afghans, Sudanese, Iraqis and Pakistanis there is a mix of languages amongst them.
What did I do? Well I had a badge with my name and I had written " the Fixer" on it. I explained any worries or wants to come to me and I would fix it. I explained I did not fix drugs which caused a titter.

An example of the men, Malik a young University student who had nearly finished his course on web design in Sudan when he had to leave. He told me his dream was to complete his studies in France and was keen to start learning French. Half way through the afternoon he called me over to say" You are the Mother here" I said "more like the Grandmother"
He said " in that case I will call you the Queen, which made us laugh" When Malc arrived for his shift he said to him" You must be the King" and explained the joke to Malc.
Well one or two of them have already won my heart and Chrissie said " they are just like my son"

Then tomorrow if you are going to St. Antonin please go to Rehoboth and pick up a couple of lads to take into the town to look at the market. I asked if anyone would like to do that and everybody said yes. I only have seats for 4
