In good health
The famous Vierge Noire statue in Rocamadour was admitted to hospital in Cahors recently to undergo tests. In particular she was placed in an MRI scanner to determine how well the wooden statue had survived since the 12th century, as well as some probably unscientific restoration 60 years ago. Apparently all is well and results of other forensic tests are expected to be more specific about her age. She has now resumed her place in the Lot village's church.
