Mrs Dale's Diary, which ended on April 25 1969 after a 21-year run, was renowned for the catchphrase 'I'm rather worried about Jim'
Val says out on a walk this morning we met some rather lovely TAG readers who read TAG every day and the bloke compared TAG to Mrs Dale's Diary, saying he had to have his morning fix. It is hilarious when you are asked by strangers " how are you managing your leg now Malcolm?" and "this is the lovely boy Eldo, now he is a lucky chap."
We also met someone in the supermarket who told a tale of picking fruit which she had done eating straight from the bush till she remembered the " Eldo cocking leg" story.
I bet everyone is washing their fruit well these days!
Malc who even remembered the catch phrase said " Jim Dale was the Dr. who Mrs Dale was married to" ..but it ended in 1969 Malc, how on earth could you remember that, when you can never remember were you have put a key?
