Can I through TAG put in a request - which in the weather conditions we have at the moment may seem pointless ! It is that time of year again, Fetes, Vide Greniers, Marchés Gourmandes and lots of parties. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE when the weather is so hot – and in my opinion at any time – do not take your dogs to the celebrations. I get so sad (and mad !) when I see poor dogs being dragged around in the heat looking totally miserable in all the hustle, bustle and noise. How would you like to be pulled around in very hot temperatures on a lead when all you can see are ankles and legs. I’ve even seen the poor things at village discos. Leave them at home in the cool where they will be much happier and you can have a better time too. An absolute no-no is to leave them in the car. The sun moves very quickly and a dog can die in under half an hour when the temperature is ‘only’ 21°.
