Anne Hidalgo gets my vote

The mayor of Paris has said she wants to open a migrant welcome centre in the French capital, to help migrants either seek asylum or in “quite a few cases” try to reach Britain.
Anne Hidalgo’s pledge, which drew criticism from the conservative opposition, came days after police tore down a makeshift camp yards from a London-bound Eurostar terminal.
The Socialist mayor said that opening a centre was the only option as "one thing is for sure: migrants cannot sleep outside. It’s unacceptable."
"It’s not dignified to explain that they should remain on the streets when there are housing places available," she told BFM TV.
Ms Hidalgo said that given the rising tide of migrants reaching the French capital, "a centre must be opened to deal with migrants who don’t know where to go to ask for asylum. They need a place where they can stop and think."
