The kestrels have not nested here, who knows what happened to them.
A poor great tit which was nesting in a bird box was killed when the box blew down in the wind.
The redstart nesting in the grange had been working so well feeding young but yesterday two of the fledglings were found on the grange floor. I thought one of the birds had a bemused expression when coming with food.
So raising young and staying alive is not an easy task for our feathered friends.
