Tomorrow is the grand draw of the TAG Christmas raffle and so I needed to get all the raffle tickets stubs back and see how much we have all raised. Tonight the total is 570 euros and we still have a small amount of money not counted coming in tomorrow. Well done everyone, a special thank you to Deirdre Honey who has coaxed 170 euros out of you herself. A big thank you also to the readers who have donated the 17 prizes.
Tomorrow night we will have the grand draw with the Opera audience watching and Jean Marie Nosal will be doing the honours. The results will be published on TAG the following day and the money raised will be going to our two TAG charities, Via Sahel enfants d'Afrique and Liberte des Anes, a local donkey sanctuary.
I often wonder how many childrens' lives we have touched in Bamako, and how many little lives we may have saved by our fund raising. Also at the donkey sanctuary, how many donkeys we may have saved and how much suffering we may have relieved.
We really do have some fun here in France and a great life and how satisfying it is to help others not so fortunate. Thank you everyone.
