Midi Pyrenees, the perfect place to live, a headline in the newspaper the Connexion, and is it a perfect place to live?
Well we certainly think so and after 12 years of living here full time we still have not changed our minds. We came here by default or coincidence or just sheer luck and would we go back, no thank you.
UK residents who come on holiday to our gite and spend a couple of weeks on holiday keep coming back. The peace, the calm, the beauty, the landscapes, the sunsets, the wine, the food- (often aligot and fois gras are mentioned,) the country and river pursuits, the markets, the brocantes, the concerts, the easy going no pressure life style. All good reasons why we love our life here.
I would even add the French, yes we love them and embrace the difference in language and culture and thank goodness so many of them embrace us.( often with bisous, two or three times) If you are in England and have found this local magazine as I prefer to call TAG, worry not about coming, you will never "look back with anger", to quote a title of a play by John Osborne.
I am often contacted by readers in England who have found TAG on the internet and are thinking of moving here.
