The Museum of Civilisations opens on the 7th of June, The civilisations cover Europe and the Mediterreanean and is in a square building covered in concrete, which has a footbridge connecting it to a nearby 12th century monument known as Fort Saint Jean. The Museums structure was designed by leading architect Rudy Ricciotti and is known for short as MuCEM. It is the latest " buzz" thing happening in this city of culture. There was a lot about it on French TV last night and it certainly looked worth a couple of days to visit. I will put it on my list for a winter visit.
