Wild gardens are lovely, we mow our huge areas though ready for summer games. We play football, badminton, croquet, running races, long jumps, howler throwing which is javelin throwing for the young, swimming races
For as long as I remember holidays here are about playing games, all watched with interest by the donkeys who watch each sport with heads and ears on one side. Grandma is always last but I do try and it is not always about winning. Now with good results coming in from sports clubs UK for the young girl maybe it was all worth it.
They even won the Varenly Regatta when they entered a couple of years ago.
Oh and by the way the Varenly Regatta will be on again this year with Commodores Mimi and Kevin Scragg at the helm.
