Foolish but caring

Dear Val,
Thank you very much for taking the time to contact me in relation to Rob Lawrie and the situation in which he is in.
I very much appreciate your concerns and am looking to do what I can to help Rob. It was clearly a foolish thing for him to do but you can understand his thought process. At this stage there is little else that I can say about the case, but I can assure you that I will do what I can to support Rob and raise this situation in Calais with Ministers.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to raise this matter with me.

Yours sincerely

Greg Mulholland
Member of Parliament for Leeds North West

Val says Rob Lawrie was faced with a four year old child living in the most deplorable hell. The childs family lived in Leeds, although the father was also at Calais. Rob who has been working to help refugees and I have read of his efforts often, took the very foolish chance to try and smuggle the girl out. Totally wrong thing to do but and there is a but, what law dicates it is right that a four year old girl lives in that stinking hell hole? After Rob's arrest the child was sent back to the Calais jungle. Where were the caring social services?
I would never have taken the action Rob did, was he brave trying?
