Pinch punch, first of the month, no return

White rabbits not enough for our Annie, pinch punch is is a new one to me but one all her school friends know.
Annie was up before the dogs this morning making sure she was up early enough to feed all the pets on the last morning of her holidays. My favourite time of the day is also enjoyed by Annie out in the fields.
The weather has stretched our imagination, finding things to do in the rain is not easy when we are set up here for outdoor pursuits, but we have played lots of games and Grandad' s good find at the book swap on popular card games came in useful.
This morning we will be at the Troubador in Laguepie,  where Annie who has made a friend of the bar owner will present Francois with a picture she has painted of his dog, him and his bar.
She arrived with a card for him and an occitane bracelet she had made and he on his part presents her with lollipops when she pays the bill.
For the family their holiday in France ends at lunchtime.
Parting is such sweet sorrow.
