When Gavin went into the Presse today he was asked to sign a petition against the closure of Carrefour - the one near the school. Reading Jill's post, it would seem that Carrefour is moving to the Simply site, because the petition was protesting at no supermarket actually in St Antonin itself. That, though, is supposition, but the woman in the Presse did say the butcher in Carrefour was moving to the Simply site.

Val says I can see that happening. We now remember somoeone told us the butcher from Carrefour was moving down to Simply. Sorry for you all losing a supermarket in the town itself if that is the case, but if only one supermarket is viable the parking, and petrol makes the Simply site the best one.
Losing both supermarkets, Petit Casino and Carrefour in the town itself would certainly be a nuisance, as it would mean getting the car out. Perhaps someone else would come into the site.
