The street was crowded |
A local chorale sang traditional songs |
The crowds were principally young French people from all around the area but there was also a smattering of Brit supporters. Charley was behind the bar with a couple of helpers but they were swamped.
Well done Charley on the night, the Gods were with you, the evening was mild and dry and your supporters were ecstatic. One Brit said to us, this is my sort of evening, and I think he meant conviviality, the young people, the more elderly, children, dogs and music.
As we left a large group of children were organising games for themselves in the Halle, wonderful.
Accordion music ended the evening |
