Carrefour, the world's second largest retailer, is working on a plan to exit India, media reports said Saturday, amid political uncertainty about the future of multi-brand retail in the South Asian giant.
I read this headline in a national newspaper and thought surely quitting St. Antonin in the town would not be a national story... and of course it was India: bit of a difference. I had not realised Carrefour was the world's second largest retailer.
