The first of our Opera evenings start Wednesday 16 th at 6. 30pm, a packed house, every seat full and sadly people turned away. (We need a massive extension Malc!) For those lucky people who wisely booked early we will be watching Verdi's La Traviata staged at Aix en Provence in 2011. The star is Natalie Dessay with Charles Castronovo and Ludovic Tézier, the London Symphony Orhestra and the Estonian Philarmonic Chamber choir. Everyone will pay 10 euros for the evening starting with drinks and aperos . The money going to Via Sahel Enfants d' Afrique and do not forget an extra few euros or two to buy your TAG Christmas raffle tickets. ( well 5 euros actually)
The following evening Thursday 17th the cinema evening is free and we will be starting a season of Marcel Pagnol films. Once again starting at 6.30pm bring your drinks and nibbles and I will provide glasses. A few people have asked if we can stay on a little after to discuss everyone's reactions to the film.
