The kestrel pair are still about with one sitting on the nest and another coming to take its turn from time to time. Every week we think it will happen and we will have chicks and frantic feeding but it has not happened yet. We did wonder if it was a young pair with their first eggs and maybe the eggs were not fertilised properly and the chicks are not going to hatch, but who knows. Yesterday I sat for 10 mins with binoculars trained on the hole and could see both birds in there, the feathers so much brighter on the male, but no other movements. I will keep you posted.
