TAG 2012, December round up

A round up of TAG and what we have all  achieved together so far in 2012
Numerous dogs and cats have been rehomed.
Angus the black labrador found a happy home at Montluc in the Lot. On a recent follow up visit, it was lovely to see a very healthy looking dog happy, and content in  his new enviroment.
Remember  Isla the three legged dog, now one might of thought she would be a difficult one to rehome but she was taken in and given a chance by a couple on a farm near Varen and she  is now having a great life.
Little Greek Costas was adopted locally and has had a name change.
The 12 year old Burmese cat whose original owner died, then the next owners starting working away a lot, so Jess once again needed a new home. Jess could not have found a better home now and is settling very well.
And that is just a sample of pets rehomed or helped.
We have by publicising the Donkey Sanctuary, Liberte des Anes, had lots of people making visits which boosts their coffers a bit, and in the summer we gave 50 euros from a childrens performance of Maurice Sendak's " Where the Wild Things Are". We have just sent another  20 euros from the sale of honey pots.
We are helping to promote the work  of local charity Via Sahel at the Domaine de Sautou and have raised so far 350 euros and hope to raise another 350 at least from our Opera evenings.
We have sold books for Macmillan Cancer Care and given news of others working tirelessly for this charity.
We have sold cars, cranes, furniture and promoted events around the region , held book swaps, folk evenings and kept us all in touch with events and  happenings.
Given you a local voice on subjects ranging from " losing satellite" to " social charges" .
Helped some of you with your local enterprises, giving you work and customers.
Artists in the area have a chance to display their work and watch this space for a piece from 89 year old artist David Clench. He relishes the challenge and loves new projects, an artist all his life, married to Joyce who is also a prolific artist.
The readership now has grown and grown and I expect on average 200 to 300 hits each day rising to 400 to 650 sometimes when I send round the ''look now '' message.
On a personal level all your inquries and messages keep me on my toes and the grey matter working.
But it is only with your participation that TAG works , so please continue reading, contributing and supporting me and TAG.
And thank you to Malc for his technical support and washing the breakfast pots on a morning when I am at my most prolific.
