French women en forme

A recent study by France's statistical authority reveals that French women live in good health, ie not affected in daily activities by health issues, until the age of 64.9. Their overall life expectancy now reaches 85.3 years, one of the highest in Europe. However, a study by a Montpellier hospital suggested that it is from the age of 50 that women start to be more at risk from cardio-vascular diseases. Until then they are significantly less likely than men to suffer heart problems and often, apparently, imagine that this will continue into later life, but from about 50 the risks are the same as men.
Whatever, women have a longer active life expectancy than men, whose average is 62.6 years and overall 79.5 years compared to women at 85.3.
