Traditionally 14th July sees firework displays throughout France. This year Saturday's celebrations will be followed by Sunday's World Cup final featuring the French national team. So some prefectures, including Aveyron, have banned private firework displays from Friday to Monday.
Organised displays by licensed experts which have been authorised will go ahead as planned.
