Change of direction at Victor Hugo

The popular Victor Hugo market in Toulouse centre has been undergoing changes these last couple of years, including work to the multi-storey car park above the market hall.
Always a difficult car park owing to its narrow spaces, the re-vamp has included a change of direction to the entry and exit points. So what was the entry is now the exit, leading not surprisingly to confused queues of motorists looking for the way in. Market traders said that part of the confusion was caused by poor signage and continuing road works.
The city authorities responsible said signs were put up but have "disappeared" - they will be replaced immediately.
