Five staff at McDonalds in Villefranche de Rouergue have been on strike now for 100 days. They are protesting about working conditions (only 3 staff in 35 have full time jobs) and the dismissal of a colleague. They claim the person was fired because of his links with a trade union, though management claim it was abusive behaviour to the manager.
Supported by other CGT members the strikers blocked the McDonalds distribution centre in Toulouse on Tuesday. Negotiations have produced no result and the restaurant remains open.
