Our grandchildren in England have started their half term holiday and here in France the Toussaint break started yesterday evening. Usually this means traffic jams on all the main routes out of the big cities for this weekend, and the increasing "celebration" of Halloween at the end. A more traditional aspect of Toussaint is the sale of chrysanthemums for placing in cemeteries, which become places brightly coloured remembrance of departed family members.
