See what the sun brings out

For some time now we have been keeping an eye on a chrysalis glued to our garden gate wall - interestingly in the same place as last year. Passing today, the warm sunshine has encouraged the insect inside to emerge into the world.
We don't know what is, but it looks a bit black as yet. Perhaps it will be a beautiful butterfly.
Val says it looks like a big black ugly bug to me!
