Vanilla essence

This may look like a bottle of disgusting vodka but it's actually vanilla
essence.
Buy a cheap bottle of vodka and put a few vanilla pods into it. I used a few
big fat fresh ones from the market and a few dried up hard ones. Put it in a
dark cupboard and let it infuse. By Christmas you will have a lovely rich
vanilla essence that you can decant and bottle for friends
