Just signed the two petitions as it is patently unfair to leave British pensioners abroad in the cold! As a matter of interest, being Dutch, I receive a small pension from the Netherlands. A few years ago the Dutch government stopped an allowance which compensated pensioners for the reduced buying power of their old age pensions. However, this only affected those Dutch pensioners living abroad (of which I am one). The ones living in Holland continued to get it. I found that amazing and probably illegal. I signed petitions. Just two days ago, I heard the allowance had been reinstated. I shall also receive a one-off payment for all the money the government withheld over at least two years. RESULT!
