The truth behind the winter fuel allowance

Pensioners are at the moment entitled and get this allowance till 2015. Then it is being withdrawn from expats as it is deemed that we live in warmer climes and that our winter temperatures are higher than in Cornwall for example. Now this is the crux of the argument. Pensioners will still receive it in England even though many have milder weather temperatures than us and that is patently not fair.
The reader who states we are taking the money from young people working now is right. They are working to pay our pensions as we did for our fathers and mothers or pensioners before us. That is the way the pension system works.  A point that I would think is relevant is the benefit should be means related but it is not and so we are entitled . Why anyone would feel guilty about taking a pension they have put into for over 45 years is beyond my comprehension. I hope nobody else feels guilty about taking their rightful pension or fighting for the same rights as pensioners in the UK.
