Actually it is Ratz not rats, and Ratz is a locally brewed beer taking over as the drink of choice at the Bascule bar at Caylus . Ratz is a Quercy produced beer which is taking over in popularity from Stella.
Our new young French neighbour is also starting brewing his own beer on a commercial basis and although not anywhere near capacity, actually just at the testing stage, we have volunteered to be guinea pigs, all in the name of science of course.So far the beer we have tried is a really lovely drink, just a bit too much sediment at the moment but we need to test a lot more before the final production and selling date. I wonder what the label will be come the time, I could suggest TAG.
