President Macron will welcome his American counterpart today and tomorrow, to mark the 100th anniversary of American troops arriving in France in the first world war. President Trump will attend the July 14th military parade in Paris tomorrow as well as dining at a restaurant at the Eiffel Tower tonight.
Given Trump's repeated criticism of France over its nuclear policy, its loss of control over its borders, probably its obsession with cheese and Macron's determination not to be overshadowed it could be a tricky couple of days.
