Politicians dont like judges

There seems to be a spate of legal decisions here in France, in the UK (in the Brexit hearings) and America (overturning Trump's travel ban) which whilst upholding the rule of law are annoying the politicians, whether in government or not.
With Fillon already under investigation now Marine Le Pen is complaining that two of her assistants are being investigated for similar offences (fictitious employment), saying that such decisions by investigating magistrates are, in the light of the up-coming elections, undermining democracy ("the will of the people" - sounds familiar).
Politicians in power can change the law, even the constitution in some cases, but fortunately whilst the judiciary remains independent it is surely right that they should investigate complaints of wrong doing or unconstitutional behaviour by the executive.
