Those little coloured labels on your medicaments are to be phased out from today. The colour of the etiquette indicates level of reimbursement offered by the Secu, 65%, 35% or 15%. White is the commonest colour and is for the 65% reimbursed for chronic conditions (this leaves aside that for many patients the level is 100%).
The labels are not needed by pharmacies as the data is all in the bar codes on the pack. Some practitioners want to keep them as they can see the date etc on the label without having to scan the pack, but the Secu says it is an unnecessary expense.
