Old photos of St. Antonin and surrounds

Readers may recall that last year I was offering copies of a PowerPoint slide show I have made of old photos of St Antonin and surrounds, in return for a €20 donation to Val's charitable work.
So far this has raised nearly €700.

Now that the charity has been formalised as "Mains Tendues 82" I thought it would be a good time to renew the offer.

In the meantime the slide show has been enlarged and now contains 984 slides of which about 50 are text (introduction, index, historical notes and so on, mostly in both English and French) and the rest are old photos of St Antonin, Féneyrols, Milhars, Penne, Cornusson, Verfeil, Septfonds, Ginals and a few other places nearby.  The oldest photo was taken in 1861, most are from the late 19th and early 20th centuries with a small number more recent.  Recently added are some photos of the dynamiting of the old silos at the cement works at Lexos which stood where the déchetterie is now.

If you want a copy you can give your donation in cash or by cheque to Mains Tendues 82 and I will send you a link to download the file.  If you are not confident to do this it is possible to meet up in St Antonin or nearby and I can transfer the file directly to your laptop or to a USB memory if you bring one along.

In the first instance please respond directly to Val Johnstone via tag-on-line or Facebook.
