I quote the Depeche and now the Depeche quotes TAG on line.

Talking about the number of the  St. Antonin anglophone electorate living in Tarn and Garonne, 10 % apparently, a reference was made to one of my posts. A meeting in St. Antonin with political officials had been arranged for a certain time but it was late to start and so a number of  UK residents got fed up and left.
They obviously were fairly new on the scene, as anyone who has been living here for any length of time knows there is " French time " and " English time"  it takes some getting used to.
Classic examples include going to concerts, always at least half an hour late starting.
Playing in the boules tournaments especially the nocturnes, the Brits arrive at the time stated, say 8 pm, nobody else arrives till 9.... and it goes on. After a while you learn to work around it!

 En février dernier, lors d’une réunion de St-Antonin demain destinée à envisager une collaboration plus étroite avec cette communauté étrangère, une petite cinquantaine de personnes s’est présentée à l’heure dite «mais quelques-uns sont repartis à cause du retard», commentent sur leur blog (tag-on-line),ces anglophones visiblement étrangers à la notion de «quart d’heure tarn-et-garonnais».
