Having done concert tours of Germany and partaking of excesses worthy of a Rolling Stones guitarist or Who drummer, the secret is to never come down (don't split your infinitives screams Anna!)
The secret is never to come (isn't never a verb then?) down. The better hotels in Germany always have a bottle of champagne on the breakfast buffet bar. The bubbles get into the blood stream and "man" you are ready to face the day.
